Go to see starlight in afternoon.

Corky comes.

Talks of celebration

Go home with Corky.

Bernard comes over.

Fool around

Lynea's Note: There is a local 4-H club called "Starlight 4-H". It is possible that they went to a club meeting. I don't know who Corky is. "Corky" has been used as a nickname for Cornelia, Cornelius, or other "Cor.." names, but I don't see any neighbors with similar names. It can also be a nickname for people of Irish decent or for people who may "pop off like a cork". Most likely, it's a friend who got the nickname from the Comic Strip and Radio Program "Gasoline Alley". As of 2024, it is the longest-running current strip in the United States.
