Vince Weber is a neighbor of Annie's. In the 1940 census he is 48 years old, working as an occasional farmhand, and living in Spring Lake with his mother. Ten years later Vince is listed on the census as Never Married and an inmate at the state mental hospital. Upon his death in 1968, at the age of 84, his obituary was prominently displayed on the front page of The Daily Republic in Mitchell South Dakota. A notation on his WWI Draft Card may indicate that he may have had some intellectual disability.
